Reliable protection and secure authentication go without saying

Security is the current issue in electronic banking. Access data and transactions must be protected against Trojan attacks and phishing. Customers and banks must ensure that they are really communicating and exchanging data with the right partner. This calls for reliable and easy-to-integrate protection and authentication procedures.

Our products provide tried-and-tested security procedures for banking portals. The spectrum for establishing a secure channel between the customer and the Internet ranges from the classic PIN/TAN procedure and TAN generators to digital and also distributed digital signatures using a smart card. Any application desired may be used for access and for the approval procedure, e.g. by applying the dual control principle. With the special hardware developed by our cooperation partners REINER SCT and KOBIL, the solutions are Trojan-proof and ensure mobile security.

The applications provide all functions for the management of TAN lists and smart cards. Trust centres can be linked up to examine and process certificates.

The TRAVIC modules support all standard security procedures in accordance with the specifications of the ZKA (German Central Credit Committee):

  • ZKA TAN generator including EMV-CAP
  • BCS-FTAM- and EBICS-compliant A004 signatures
  • HBCI/FinTS-compliant DDV and RDH security procedures
  • forthcoming standards for Trojan-proof online banking

PPI also helps operators and developers to establish secure application architectures and to integrate security procedures into their work processes.
