EBICS payments for financial institutions
Electronic banking and interbank payments: meeting increasing requirements, cost pressure and growing volumes
Financial institutions face growing pressures and increasing requirements for compliance and system availability. These challenges have to be overcome not only during the SEPA migration but also in a post-SEPA environment.
PPI AG developed the payment and file transfer modules of the TRAVIC product portfolio for these requirements: TRAVIC-Corporate and TRAVIC-Port for electronic banking with corporates and TRAVIC-Interbank and TRAVIC-Interbank/Host for electronic mass payments with clearing houses and financial institutions.
TRAVIC facilitates cost-efficient electronic banking, automated mass payments and fast file transfer based on the German-French EBICS standard. In addition to SEPA, TRAVIC supports distinct national characteristics in the European payments market. Examples include the DFÜ Agreement of the German Banking Industry Committee (Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft), the implementation guidelines of CFONB in France, SIX in Switzerland as well as multiple national payment formats around the world.
In offering TRAVIC products we emphasize high quality, simple and fast implementation and best- in-class service. We manage complex production environments reliably
In the future, electronic mass payments will be processed more cost-efficiently via EBICS. In addition to SWIFT, EBICS represents a second channel as backup solution for reliable processing of mass payments. The German Central Bank and EBA CLEARING have prepared implementation guidelines for EBICS and set up the required access channels.
PPI AG's portfolio of TRAVIC-Corporate, TRAVIC-Link and TRAVIC-Interbank/Host solutions provide financial institutions and data centres with secure mass payments processing. As the German Central Bank and EBA CLEARING already use these services, interoperability and rapid integration into operation are guaranteed.
In addition to mass payments via the German Central Bank and EBA CLEARING, additional savings potential can be achieved via direct bilateral file exchanges ("Garagenclearing").
In addition to the Unix/Linux-based solutions, TRAVIC-Interbank/Host is a highly automated solution for z/OS. As a parallel to existing SWIFT systems, it simplifies operations for host users.
